| Wachnuk/Chewka families. (Written by Dianna) My dad Peter Wachnuk (Nanny's brother) is sitting in the front row with his mother's (Polly Wachnuk - Nanny's mom) arm around him. Our grandfather is Sandy Wachnuk (Nanny's dad)...second from left in back row. Dad was the youngest of the siblings. His oldest brother John Wachnuk (Nanny's brother) is in the back row (right) with the flat white hat. Lots of difference in age. Their sister Mary (Chewka - Nanny's sister) has her daughter Pearl on her lap...and her three sons are Jim, George and John Chewka...the last little guy on the right. Rest in peace John. Unfortunately,Wachnuk siblings missing in this photo are Helen (Flonders), Pearl (Paulenko), Doris (Oseskey). Besides dad in the front row to the left are a couple of his brothers but the only one I know is George Wachnuk second from left. He was two years older than Dad. |
